Students offer a helping hand - The Richfield Reaper: Localnews

Students offer a helping hand - The Richfield Reaper: Localnews: MONROE - It was three days before Christmas in 2005 when an
uncovered water leak in the bathroom of Stephen and Karoline Huls'
home on Brookly…

This I add as the community Choose to help a family having some trials. We were able to use the donations to purchase a double wide modular home, My Daughter with Brain cancer is doing better, now has seizures due to complications of the treatments and we are working to get them under control.
The old home was demolished. The cabin is still there as a reminder and to use for a storage shed. Maybe some day I will add plumbing and visitors can use it.

As for the "Give it Back" Program in Monroe Utah High school... a issue occurred as the funds were given to a local Government program to distribute the funds. Funds were given 13,000 The Gov. program took the funds to Salt Lake and charged 300+ to write the checks and acted as if it were 'Their Funds'. So problems happened when the Charity of others was controlled by a Government entity sadly. Gov. should stay out of charity groups as they just cause problems since they do not understand them.
Well the Teacher in charge of this wonderful program 'Retired' that year.
His replacement 'Cancelled the Give It Back program' That had been a tradition for 10 yrs in the community. She wanted the Donations raised to supply the School with new items like a Sign, etc. Sad really. The Kids Rebelled about it as they wished to continue the program but no success this year.
My kids now of age, wanted to do it this year, but since it was shut down by one person of less heart towards community we were not able to do it.
Plans are to Return this program again next year as my daughter will be a senior then. We hope it will. We want to help the next family.
The Community needs such wonderful giving programs, it teaches so much.
We hope to re-start the 'Give it Back' program if not with the High School we are not sure how yet but will think on it.
This was the Link to the Web about the project.

That is the update.
