Glenn: “Today officially is the day that I no longer recognize my country.”

Obama administration ignored cries for help three times during embassy attacks – DETAILSJust ten days to go before the election and it’s absolutely amazing it’s as close as it is in the polls. How can the President even be close with this horrible economy, but more importantly, the cold and callous actions demonstrated in the wake of the Libya attacks. Where is the integrity? The honor? Over four years ago President Obama said he would fundamentally transform America. Glenn looked at the news from the past couple of weeks and warned listeners and viewers across the country that the day has finally come where he no longer recognizes America.
In the last week, Glenn spent time with someone who worked in the Situation Room. Before making assumptions about how bad the news breaking in Benghazi is and how deep it goes — what would in be like in the Situation Room during this type of crisis?
This is the answer Glenn received: “Without a shadow of a doubt, the president of the United States knew. If he didn’t, then you’ve got a bigger problem because the president is not informed. The president has people doing things and he’s not involved.”
Consider the amount of information that Glenn and his team have been able to acquire over the last couple of weeks, not only from reporters, but from sources they have — why is anyone, inside or outside of the media, giving the president an ‘out’ that he somehow didn’t know what was happening?
The way these stories are stacking up, not only did this administration know what was going on, they also made the conscious decision not to do anything.
“The only one that could have authorized special forces going in is the President of the United States,” Glenn added. “But that would require Leon Panetta and the Secretary of State going to the president.”
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, would have had to go to the president and make the case that special forces needed to be sent in. But the president is the one who makes the final decision.
“If he claims that he didn’t have any of the information that I now have sitting, redacted, sitting on my desk right now that shows what was happening in realtime, that was handed to the Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense and the situation room, if he says he didn’t have that information, he’s either lying or you need to demand a list of the people who are fired because of it,” Glenn said.
But the time for giving the President the benefit of the doubt on this is over. He’s the President of the United States, he did know. It’s his job to know.
“With the amount of information you have, you know that it’s impossible for that situation to develop without him knowing about it,” Stu said to Glenn. “You’re being fair because you have information that makes it impossible for this guy to have not known. He knew, period. He knew.”
For the past couple of years Glenn has been warning that we would wake up one day and not recognize our country. He warned that we were being led down a path that could redefine who we are as Americans.
This morning on radio, as all of the breaking news on Benghazi continued to come together, Glenn had to be the one to tell Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods’ father the breaking news about the ‘stand down’ order that was given during the attack that killed his son — the order that made it painfully obvious not only that the President of the United States has been lying about this story since day one, but that he did nothing as four Americans were killed by terrorists on the anniversary of 9/11 in Benghazi.
“What have we turned into?” Glenn asked.
Ambassador Chris Stevens was hired by President Obama — he chose him for this job. He knew the man that had repeatedly asked for more security. Did the president think it was under control? That nothing was going to happen? Something did happen. Glenn pointed out that the president is the Commander-in-Chief of the military.
“When something happens and your military is there AND you can do something to save the man that you appointed to go in our name — And he does nothing? I don’t understand it,” Glenn said.
Glenn has pointed out the marxist policies of the president, his socialist tendencies, the class warfare, but today Glenn realized that our country is crossing a new line.
Americans serve voluntarily — Americans serve because they believe in this country.
“You don’t just grab somebody up and throw them in a school and make them the ambassador from birth like in Communist countries. These are people who are volunteering!” Glenn pointed out. “And the president is the last ‑‑ the guy who says, “We’re not going to leave a single person behind.” We won’t leave our people behind.”
But that’s not what Barack Obama did. What he did was not the “American way.”
“If we don’t turn this corner, America, we will become a force, a global, terrifying force for evil,” he added. “It’s not just our destruction. We’re talking about the destruction of our souls. You can’t be this kind of a person or a country — you can’t.”
The president had the capabilities of not risking more human life to save the lives of our ambassador and these SEALs. One drone could have saved these men and they were told to stand down.
Glenn asked the question: What must have these Navy SEALs been thinking in their own heads? “What have I sacrificed for? What do we even mean?”
