What is the story of the bracelet that Mitt Romney wears. Jane Horton is the widow of a true warrior, an American hero Christ Horton. She gave the bracelet to Mitt Romney in memory of her husband's sacrifice for his country.

Many of you may have noticed the bracelet that Mitt Romney wears. Jane Horton is the widow of a true warrior, an American hero Christ Horton. She gave the bracelet to Mitt Romney in memory of her husband's sacrifice for his country.
Chris Horton was a combat sniper from the Oklahoma National Guard; he was killed in an ambush while deployed to Afghanistan in September 2011. During some speeches Mitt Romney has shared Chris Horton's story. Just before he was caught in that ambush in Afghanistan and during one of their last conversations before Chris’ death, Jane asked her husband if there was anything to needed, and he replied, “I need a new president.”

Romney tracked Jane down after Chris’ death and wrote her a handwritten letter of condolence, which stunned her. Jane sent him back the name from Chris’ uniform, and received another handwritten letter of thanks.

She got to meet Romney in person shortly after he accepted the Republican nomination for president. She gave him a bracelet with Chris Horton’s name and date of death.

Below is a picture of the messaging between herself and her husband.

Please "SHARE" this at the request of her widow and out of respect for her husband's final request for a new president. "I want to send this to you- one of the last things my husband said to me before he died in Afghanistan on September 9th, 2011. He said this many times to me, but I think this is so powerful. Please, please share." -Jane Horton
