[Watch] Survivor of Castro’s Cuba Blasts Oregon Lawmakers – “You’re Selling Marxism”

509 manuel martinez this is what youre selling hereManuel Martinez, who fled the Castro communist takeover of Cuba in the 1960’s delivers a powerful rebuttal to Oregon lawmakers during a Thursday hearing on proposed gun control legislation.
Martinez witnessed executions and the tyranny that were the consequences of having an unarmed population unable to defend themselves against an evil government. He was imprisoned for opposing Castro and narrowly managed to escape to America in 1962.
His response to the legislation was simple and passionate, “Don’t sell me this. A very powerful man tried to sell me this 50-something years ago, I didn’t buy it,” Martinez said. “This is Marxism, plain and clear.”
He said “This bill is a step forward, close to gun control, period. To disarm the American people. Period. What I’m interested to know, what is behind this?
He describes the proceedings as a dog and pony show and tells the legislators not to pretend that they are going to protect people. They aren’t going to protect nobody. He again asks what is behind it but receives no answer. Martinez proceeds to tell them, it’s Marxism.
“Marxism is not coming, Marxism is here,” says Martinez. Marxism has been in this country for quite a while and the politicians allow that because they are ignorant or they are part of the plot. Don’t sell me this, a very powerful man tried to sell me this fifty something years ago. I didn’t buy it.” Martinez asked, “Do you think I’m going to buy it now?”
Mr. Martinez clearly understands what is underway and the destruction that is being waged upon his nation. This immigrant is more attuned to the reality of the threat to America than most of the native born population.
The arrogance of the board is evident, although we can’t see their reactions to Mr. Martinez, they clearly are not receptive from the nature of the questions he asked of them as well as their silence. It is also interesting to note that the chairman had already started to call the next speaker virtually before the last words were out of Mr. Martinez’s mouth.
It must be painful for these un-American progressives to be exposed by an immigrant who has seen their model at work and knows it for the evil that it is.
