The Cowboy and the Lady
URGENT URGENT:
UPDATE: TODAY THE COWBOY ATTENDED A MEETING IN JORDAN VALLEY AT THE HIGHSCHOOL.
Congressman Greg Walden was in attendance and it was on the Malheur Canyonland monument project that the BLM and President Obama are attempting to build.
It is being pushed by a shoe manufacturer and ONDA, enviornmental groups among others.
Thom stood up and let Walden know about this story regarding Wards statements at a closed meeting about rounding up Harney County citizens.
Another member of the community handed Walden hundreds of pages of confidential emails between the BLM, interior Department and Fish and Game, on the Hammond Case.
The Sheriffs in attendance included Sheriff Brian Wolfe, Deputy Sherriff Wroten, Scott Franklin who works for Harney School District and Franklins wife who is the treasurer of Harney County.
Needless to say when Thom let Walden know about the round up faces dropped and shock entered the room, as that was private information the Sheriffs did not want anyone outside to know.
Cliff Bentz stood up two questions before Thom mentioning the round up and was heard demonizing the Bundy’s.
The demonization demonizing those who bring the light to the public and bring these issues up is wrong in our view.
We have representatives that were at that meeting deomonizing the Bundy’s instead of supporting the people who are bringing the tyranny to light. Why is the Federal Government militarizing against the people of the county? Why is this being allowed?
Thom asked Walden if he supported the Constitution or just gave lip service like Wyden and Merkley did calling it a virus? Walden answered, “ I support it 100%”. Thom said to Walden and other public servants in attendance, “The Bundys and the people who have supported them are not anti government, they are anticorruption in government, the whole idea of anti government is wrong and spun by the media.
We are for a government that abides by the law of the land, the Constititon and supports the people. Where is the support for the people Walden?”. Walden stopped, reflected and said, “i support the people”.
Thom said that last answer of Waldens took the longest and was the one most seriously responded to. Walden responded with eye to eye contact and Thom said he felt heard.
As Thom was leaving the meeting he was approached by Sheriff Deputy Wroten and asked for his phone number and name, Thom abliged saying he had, “nothing to hide” and asked if he was going to arrest him for just stating facts. Wroten said, “No, no, people are just going to ask your name and who you and Duane are.”
So, as this story was released today about the round up of people in Harney we know that the Harney County public servants are not ready to play nice, or be transparent. Closed meetings discussing the round up of people for calling 911 or for using their first amendment rights is wrong all ways from Sunday.
