"We are utterly disheartened and sickened to learn of the additional arrests of law-abiding citizens, ranchers and Americans who stood for their Constitutional rights at the Bundy Ranch in 2014 and at the Malheur Refuge in 2016, where my husband was assassinated in an illegal deadman's ambush on January 26, 2016."
LaVoy Finicum was killed in the eastern Oregon ambush near the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge on January 26, 2016.
In the aftermath of the Oregon Ambush and the shocking assassination of land rights advocate, rancher and patriot LaVoy Finicum, Americans will gather peacefully to pay tribute to his life and to remember and call for the release of the political prisoners.
The Salt Lake City "Stand By Me for Liberty Rally – Finicum's Fight for Freedom" is part of this national rally mounted in over 30 states.
Supporters of constitutional original intent will also gather in support of the release of the patriots who are now being held in jail as political prisoners – Ammon, Ryan, David, Mel and Cliven Bundy, Dwight and Steve Hammond and other patriots now incarcerated. Fourteen additional arrests were made Thursday, March 3, 2016.
Jeanette Finicum and daughters Thara Tenney and Brittney Beck will speak at the Stand By Me for Liberty rally in Salt Lake City Saturday, March 5, 2016, 1 PM at the Utah State Capitol. It is one of many being held across the nation that day.
The rallies and settings vary, large and small, depending on the location. LaVoy Finicum's wife will speak out for the first time in a public event about her husband's assassination by the FBI and the Oregon State Police on January 26, 2016.
"Do not let them stop anyone from exercising their right to peacefully assemble," said Jeanette Finicum. "If they succeed, who will be next? I think back to the last words my husband said to me, "Take courage, Jeanette. Have faith. God is in charge!"
On Sunday, March 6, 2016, the family is holding a National Day of Fasting and Prayer for those arrested and incarcerated and their families. Carol Bundy, wife of Nevada rancher Cliven and mother of Ammon and Ryan, who defended their constitutional property rights at their Nevada ranch in 2014, said, "We thank everyone around the world for their continued prayers and support, for waking up and realizing America is in trouble. We ask everyone to pray for America, to get a copy of the U.S. Constitution and read it, study it, teach it. Understand the custom and culture of the West and the control the federal government has over our lands. Where in the Constitution does it give the BLM, the Forest Service, the Fish and Wildlife Service this jurisdiction?"
LaVoy Finicum's widow Jeanette will be speaking for the first time in this public setting from the Utah State Capitol.
